“Great start to week 2” Manchester United target Bellingham enjoying training again

Manchester United’s interest in 16 year old Jude Bellingham has hardly been kept a secret. Almost every news publication has reported that Bellingham is a top target for the European giants, including us here at The72.

This has been quite the breakthrough season for the wonderkid who has also attracted interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund also. Since making his debut in the league cup, Bellingham has gone on to play over 30 times for Pep Clotet’s side this season.

Following the news last week that Championship football will be returning on the 20th, clubs have been back in training preparing for their first games back in just over two weeks time. Birmingham City will be making the short trip to Midlands rivals, West Brom. The young starlet cannot wait and is counting down the days to go until football returns to the EFL.

The images attached to the tweet that reads “Great start to week 2⚽️ Only 19 days to go😆#KRO #JB22” is accompanied with pictures of the 16-year-old back in training, looking in great condition. Many of the responses to this tweet were from Manchester United fans urging Bellingham to sign for them.

Talking about the interest recently to the Birmingham Mail,  Boss Clotet had this to say, “Why I’m very happy now is that Jude is here with us and that all the players are here with us as well. We focus on that really, but I understand that there will be more speculation when the games come back.”

The Blues are not quite clear of a relegation battle yet, they sit eight points above the drop, but they do have a slightly more favourable run-in that other clubs around them. Bellingham will be hoping to put in more eye-catching performances, potentially increasing his current £30 million price tag.
