Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho showed Erik ten Hag what he is missing with a beautiful strike against RB Leipzig.

Sancho, who returned to Dortmund on loan in January, opened the scoring against RB Leipzig with a delightful finish in the 20th minute of their Bundesliga clash.

After latching on to a poor clearance, the United outcast pulled out a couple of nice touches before hitting the ball straight into the corner of the net in deft fashion.

Celebrating the goal, Sancho cupped his ears to the fans at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig with fans giving him stick.

It might be easy to see why considering that RB Leipzig fans must be sick of the sight of the England international, who has scored more goals against them than anyone else in his career with this being his sixth.

And it also comes as United toiled in the Premier League, struggling against Burnley at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

They could only muster a 1-1 draw against the Clarets with Antony scoring his first Premier League goal before Zeki Amdouni equalised from the penalty spot.

Ten Hag banished Sancho after a dressing room spat when the forward criticised him, leading to an acrimonious exit in January with Dortmund picking him up on loan until the end of the season.

Whether the two will make up in the summer remains to be seen with neither future particularly looking promising.

Sancho, meanwhile, has not lived up to the hype after his sensational switch to United in 2021, scoring just nine Premier League goals since his £73million transfer.

The Red Devils are set for a major summer and the 24-year-old could be axed in order to bring in new players with Crystal Palace star Michael Olise already being linked.

Whether Sancho could end up staying at Dortmund remains to be seen, which would likely require United to lose a significant amount of what they paid three years ago.

Despite going a goal ahead against RB Leipzig, Dortmund ended up getting thrashed 4-1.

It is the worst possible preparation for the Bundesliga outfit as they face Paris Saint-Germain next in the Champions League.

Edin Terzic has the chance to take the BVB to their first European final since 2013 - which was also at Wembley - but faces an uphill battle against a rampant PSG side.
